'Tis the season for postseason soccer awards and the Chico State women's team wrapped up a number of honors thanks to their admirable efforts in the classroom and under the tall trees that line the east side of University Soccer Stadium.
Head Coach Kim Sutton's squad earned the 2013-14 National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Women's Team Academic Award by posting a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, while four individuals were among 40 named All-West Region.
Sophomore midfielder Lindsey Dias delivered Third Team All-West Region performances, scoring a team-high six goals for the Wildcats, none bigger than her game winner in the CCAA Championship Tournament semifinal win against Cal Poly Pomona, and dished out a pair of assists. She also led the Wildcats with 14 points and 14 shots on goal.
