Fullerton Rangers Youth Development Academy
The Fullerton Rangers are committed to player development and providing opportunities for both boys and girls of all ages. We believe the early years are a critical developmental phase for youth soccer players. Our program is a way of introducing children to soccer without the pressure of winning at a young age. Our main focus is to provide a fun and nurturing program that develops a long-term passion and love for the game.
Our program offers the opportunity to focus on advanced skill development of young soccer players from any starting point. This is done in a professional and fun environment with qualified, licensed coaches who will emphasize proper skill and training techniques. The Fullerton Rangers Youth Development Academy is the first step toward the player’s journey to club/competitive soccer. This journey will go beyond Recreational soccer and serve as the primary identification platform for entrance into our club soccer program.
Fullerton Ranger Coaching Staff, licensed by U. S. Soccer, will provide all training. Coaches will emphasize and teach proper skill and technique to develop the individual players. Coaches will work from a specific curriculum that has been created by the Fullerton Rangers, geared toward the development of players at these ages.
The Youth Development Academy is designed for U7 and U8 players (born in 2011 and 2012).

Question: How does the Rangers Youth Development Academy differ from Recreational soccer?
Answer: The Rangers Youth Development Academy (6-7-8 year olds) is an alternative to the traditional recreational league. Our program offers the opportunity to focus on advanced skill development of young players from any starting point. This is done with professional club coaches that will emphasize proper skill and technical development.
Question: Can my child play with their friends on a team?
Answer: Players will be evaluated and then considered for teams with players of similar ability to maintain the enhancement of the experience. Team sizes will be kept small to optimize the coach/player ratio and allow maximum playing time for each individual so they may continue to improve. The Fullerton Rangers will always give much consideration to existing relationships in order to make the best fit for those involved. We understand this is an important part of the decision and will make every effort to accommodate.
