As the new Director of Competitive Programs, I am excited to introduce to you some details about the Super Y League that our competitive teams will be a part this coming season.
Super Y League (SYL), a division of USL soccer was created to cater to the development of youth ages 10-18 and is designed to give players an opportunity to maximize their development along with exposure to both collegiate and professional coaches. The scouting network analyzes all age groups and development levels in order to offer premier opportunities for players to display their abilities.
Over 10,000 Athletes - over 500 teams - more than 100 clubs
Club directors along with scouts and coaches, will work together in evaluating players to identify and promote high-level talent from across the league and add to the SYL Top Prospect List.
The Super Y League maintains a goal of providing clubs with an unparalleled youth soccer experience. This league is a unique program that expands the experiences to all players regardless of development level, offer the best opportunities for education, evaluation and competition.
The best teams from across every division of the league will compete in the SYL Finals in Bradenton, Florida. This features a major presence of collegiate coaches and scouts along with recognition at the USL Experience, giving players a unique opportunity to showcase their abilities in a competitive environment on a national scale.
Teams will be a part of the Super Y League from May - August. Schedules will be released in the next couple of weeks.
