Biography: Davis rejoins the Rangers staff after spending a year with the CSUF W. Soccer team and now coaching with the CSUF Men’s soccer team. Before the Rangers, Davis had a successful stint as both an assistant and head coach with the Apple Valley Soccer Club for the better part of five years.

He spent three years as an assistant with the AVSC ’88 girls squad, helping the team to the 2005 State Championship. Also, he was the head coach of the AVSC ’89 boys team, leading the team from Silver Elite to Gold and two tour championships.

As a player, Davis prepped at Apple valley HS, earning three varsity letters and helping  the Sun Devils to three straight Mojave River League titles – including undefeated campaigns as a freshman and sophomore. He twice earned all-league honorable mention honors as a sophomore and senior, the latter coming after an ACL tear that cut short his junior year.

Davis continued his playing career at Victor Valley College, twice earning all-conference honorable mention honors and helping the Rams to the Foothill Conference title (1st school title in 31 years) and the second round of the state championships as a freshman. He earned a scholarship to Hope International University in Fullerton, playing one season for the Royals.

Josh has a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Teacher Education. Davis earned his National “D” license from CalSouth and is currently working toward his National Diploma. He currently resides in Riverside with his wife Ali and son Cole.
