Four Rangers Boys teams recently went to Vegas to play in the WCDA Showcase Events. The purpose of the event was to showcase the younger age groups to U.S. National Team Scouts and play against their regional opponents for the conference standings. Melchor Gomez, Luis Mora, Victor Rodriguez, and Jose Bustamante were selected to participate in the 98's Training Session ran by US National Staff Coach Miguel Mora. Representing the 99s for the Rangers was Travis Kettering and Chris Lopez. For the olders, the goal was once again to showcase our boys to the many college coaches that attended the event and play some high level competition. "This event was exceptional. At the end of the day, that is our goal...get you out in front of colleges and for the players to do their thing" said DOC Jimmy Obleda. Fullerton Rangers Jeremy Gordon was selected to play in the All-Academic Team and Gilberto Rocha for the Senior Game. All Four Rangers teams played very well throughout the weekend.
