The Fullerton Rangers B02 Red boys logged a heart-stopping victory to clinch the Legends Classic Championship on May 17. After winning their first three games, the team went to the finals against Real SoCal only to find themselves down 1-3 with 7 minutes left on the clock. Unwilling to concede defeat, the boys continued to battle, stringing together passes and attacking again and again. With only 3 minutes left in the game, the Rangers scored a second goal off a corner kick. Real SoCal then attempted to run out the clock, but the Rangers stole the ball and launched a series of shots, eventually taking one in the match’s final seconds that rebounded off the far post and spun along the goal line before curling in behind the keeper to tie the match. The teams then went to penalty kicks, where the Rangers dominated, winning in the 4th round to bring the trophy home.
