Danny Gonzalez is originally from Argentina where he grew up playing as a goalkeeper for Argentina Youth National Teams through U20. He won 64 caps and a U20 World Championship medal. He later moved directly into the professional ranks at Rosario Central of the Argentine First Division.
At the completion of his career in Argentina in 1982, he played professionally in the U.S. for various indoor soccer teams such as the Memphis Rogues, Memphis Jackals and in 1989 won an American Indoor Soccer Association (AISA) Championship with the Canton Invaders. He has a place in the AISA soccer hall of fame in Oneonta, NY for the most wins in a season by any indoor team (45 wins). He also played for the North American Soccer League (NASL) Ft. Lauderdale Strikers.
He began his coaching career with appointments in various clubs across the country. He worked as a Director of Coaching for Fury Soccer Club of Tennessee, St. Vrain Express of Colorado, Madison Area Youth Soccer Association, and So. Cal Rush in Victorville, California.
Coach Gonzalez then moved to the MLS where he coached goalkeepers for the Colorado Rapids, Chivas USA, and most recently the L.A. Galaxy. During that time he has worked with many talented and famous players such as David Beckham, Steve Gerard, Ashley Cole and the de Dos Santos brothers, Gio and Jonathan. He has also worked with goalkeepers Dan Kennedy, Ian Feur, David Kramer, Tim Melia, and Brian Rowe La Galaxy Starter.
Daniel is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English.
