GU15's capture top honors at the 2007 JUSA
OC-Kickoff
Battling tough teams in extreme heat and
humidity, the Fullerton Rangers U15 girls
showed awesome stamina, determination, and
effort
bringing
the OC Kickoff Classic Cup home in a brutal
final match with Desert United. Under
the direction of Coach Mark Wade this
weekend, our girls proved once again that
they have what it takes to be a successful
"Team" on and off the field! Great
work ladies!! |

GU9's Finish Summer with Second Finals
Appearance
The Fullerton Rangers U9 girls finished
their summer with a second appearance in a
tournament finals.
Following up on a penalty kick loss in the
finals of the Irvine Summer Classic, the
GU9's were finalists in the first flight of
the 2007 O.C. Kick-Off Classic. The
girls had a fantastic tournament, outscoring
opponents 14-0 in pool play before losing
the final game to SASC Strikers.
Congratulations to the girls, coaches, and
parents for a summer of hard work and great

Boys U9 White Captures First Tournament
Championship
In their first tournament away from
home, the Fullerton Rangers Boys
Under 9 White team captured
the championship of the Toyota of
Orange Classic Tournament.
The
team scored 23 goals on their way to
the championship, avenging an
earlier tie in pool play with a 4-1
win in the championship game. A
fantastic start for the boys and a
sign of great things to come.
Congratulations to the boys,
parents, Coach Rob Fisher, and
Manager Jorge Tejeda.

BU15 - Capo Cup Tournament Champions
The Rangers BU15 team won it’s second
championship of the year by winning their
Flight A championship game at the Capo Cup
against the host team 3-1.
Our team gave up only 1 goal (penaty kick)
for the weekend while scoring 7 goals.
Previously the team also won their flight in
the Spring Cup tourney May 20 with a 2-0
victory over Colton YSL-America.
Great job boys!!

GU15 - Capo Cup Finalists and Two Summer
Tournament Championships
The Fullerton Rangers Girls U15 team
narrowly missed capturing their third summer
tournament championship at the 2007 Capo
Cup.
The girls allowed just one goal in four
matches while posting a 3-1 record and
finishing as Finalists in the First Flight.

On Sunday, July 15, the Rangers GU12-Silver
and BU13 played in the Adidas 1 v 1 Blue
Challenge at the 3rd Street
Promenade in Santa Monica. Sixty Four
players from clubs throughout Southern
California participated in this event.
Afterward the players were invited to a VIP
autograph session with all the Chelsea FC
players here from England.
Ranger Kevin Labastida was the champion for
the boys tournament.
He won the finals in sudden death and was
given his medal by the coach of Chelsea,
Jose Murhino.

Fullerton Rangers BU11 Blue Role through Irvine
Classic.
The Rangers BU11 Blue won their first summer
tournament by beating Cypress 6-1 in the final.
The
Boys demonstrated great technical and tactical
ability throughout the weekend. Congratulations to
Tony and the Boys! We are looking forward to many
more great results. |

Rangers Girls U14 Dominate in San Bernardino
The girls U14 team swept
their bracket in the FC Barcelona Tournament
bringing the cup home to Fullerton! Skillful
play and patience on the field shut out all four
teams played this weekend. Great job girls!! |

Boys U10 White win Rampage Tournament
After a 2-2 tie with Stampede Black in pool play,
the Rangers faced them again in the final. After
going down 1-0 at the half, the Rangers battled back
to dominate play in the second. With a goal
each from Danny Rivas and Jacob Aldana and a
strong defensive effort, the Rangers fended off
Stampede's attack for a 1-2 victory.
Congratulations to the boys, their coach, Jeremy
Brownell, and manager Mark Dibell. A well deserved
tournament championship. |

The Fulllerton
Rangers Boys Under 10 White team battled against
the PV Raiders in the semi-final round of the 2007 State Cup
tournament coming out victorious 4:3 and moving
on to the Championship round. Although the boys
lost the Championship game in a tight battle
(3:2) against LAFC, their season was nothing
less than a huge success! Congratulations to the boys, parents,
Manager David Goodall, and Coach Jimmy Obleda
for a fine season! Keep
it up! |
